Stonebwoy, known in real life as Livingstone Etse Satekla on Tuesday, March 5, 2019, headlined a concert at the Labadi Beach. Dubbed the Independence Concert, the event was a warm up for music lovers for the next day’s 62nd independence anniversary celebration for Ghana. The same day being Stonebwoy’s birthday, the concert turned out to be a double celebration as it became the unofficial party for Stonebwoy’s special day.
Stonebwoy received many wishes and gifts from his colleague musicians and other well-wishers. Notable among the gift-givers was Ghanaian car manufacturing company, Kantanka Automobile which gave Stonebwoy a brand new car as a birthday gift.
In a video from the event sighted by YEN.com.gh, Stonebwoy was seen receiving the keys to the car from the Kantanaka representative on stage. After taking the keys, Stonebwoy came to show the key to his fans to prove that it was not a lie. The dancehall star then went ahead to call for support for Kantanka cars.
“I’m so honoured to be the one driving that car and I’m going to drive the car to promote what we have. “VW was made in Germany and it was once a local company and we bought into the idea so why are we refusing to buy into the idea of Nana Safo Kantanka? “I am gonna drive that car even if you think all the superstitious things,” Stonebwoy stated amid cheers from his fans.
